Donaldson & Weston Scholarship: Empowering Change in Distracted Driving
Dear prospective scholars,
We are thrilled to announce the Donaldson & Weston Scholarship, a golden opportunity for individuals committed to making a difference in the fight against distracted driving. Our $1,000 scholarship aims to support students who are about to enroll or are currently enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate programs or community colleges across the United States.
Topic: “What are your personal experiences with distracted driving, and how can you, as an individual, help prevent others from texting behind the wheel?”
In a world where technology is intertwined with our daily lives, the consequences of distracted driving have become increasingly prevalent. We invite you to share your personal experiences and insights, offering a unique perspective on this critical issue.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be about to enroll or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program or community college in the United States.
- High school students may apply if they have been accepted to an accredited college or university.
- Applicants must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Application Requirements:

- Resume: Provide a comprehensive resume that includes your contact details.
- Academic Transcript: Include your academic transcript, showcasing your cumulative GPA. This document serves as a testament to your dedication to academic excellence.
- Original Essay: Craft an insightful and thought-provoking essay, with a minimum length of 750 words, addressing the given topic. Share your personal experiences with distracted driving and outline the ways in which you, as an individual, can contribute to preventing others from texting behind the wheel.
